Free Babysitting for Foster Families

At Student Sitters, we know babysitting can be hard. Parenting is even harder. But fostering—that takes something truly special. To support and give back to foster families in our community, we created the Student Sitters Apprenticeship Program (SSAP). Through this program, we offer free babysitting services to foster families in the Wichita area, partnering with the Foster Friendly app to connect and coordinate care more easily. Girls who complete 50 hours of training and free babysitting receive startup capital to launch their own babysitting business and gain ongoing support as part of the Student Sitters program. SSAP is about more than babysitting—it's about building confidence, developing responsibility, and being a light to families who need it most.
