Role: Operations & Ministry Coordinator for studentMowing Program
Responsibilities:
Key leader for StudentMowing.org operations - you carry the weight of making sure customers and students are served well. You won’t usually be the one doing it, but need to make sure it gets done. The buck stops with you.
Coordinating new customer requests with the appropriate student business owner.
Work closely with Student Startup’s office manager who receives customer requests and routes mowing and window washing questions to you.
Coaching, feedback, and accountability for student business owners.
Oversee the training and development of JV (beginner) students.
Providing rides on Saturdays using the Student Startup truck to students who don’t have cars. Help them on-job as well. Shoulder to shoulder discipleship
Have difficult coaching conversations with students who aren’t meeting expectations
Ministry Coordinator - how are each of the guys doing, and what should we be doing to shepherd them in their development both personally, vocationally, and spiritually. Not doing everything, but making sure it all gets done. Several of the guys have great mentors/business coaches, but others are in flux. Pray for the student roster regularly.
Coordinator for Business, Bible, and Breakfast - Saturday mornings at 6:30 am.
Coordinate volunteer donations of equipment and equipment repair. You may need to do a very small amount of equipment maintenance as well.
Manage/Grow the Business so that we are true to our promise of “developing first-class students for first-class service.”
Training new students - Technical Training - Customer Service Training
Quality Control - join the new business owners on the job from time to time to ensure first-class quality.
Covering for students during busy times with school if necessary

Effectively recruit high-character students from low-income communities, representing the demographics of Wichita.
Help students develop an entrepreneurial mindset and breakthrough barriers to success.
Work with Student Startup mentors to guide students through their personal development curriculum (audiobooks, podcasts, music).
Produce Economic Profit
Serve customers well in ways they value
Steward resources well (time, gas, supplies, equipment, etc).
Make sure the value we provide to our customers is greater than the value of the resources consumed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
18 years or older
Pastoral Reference
High School Diploma
